The holiday season is all about giving, and this past year, we got to sleigh it at BIG Love Cancer Care’s annual Holiday Shoppe—an event that brings joy, gifts, and much-needed relief to families of children battling cancer. With a mission to ease the childhood cancer journey, BIG Love provides everything from meals and financial assistance to counseling and scholarships. But on this magical day, the focus was all about spreading holiday cheer, one gift (and one Purple Santa) at a time!

A Winter Wonderland of Giving

Imagine a room filled with twinkling lights, shelves stacked high with presents, and a team of enthusiastic volunteers ready to make the season a little brighter. Families arrived with wide-eyed kids in tow, ready to pick out gifts for their loved ones—all at no cost to them. Santa’s workshop had nothing on this!

Purple Santa Makes His Debut!

Speaking of Santa…move over, traditional red suit, because this year, we introduced Purple Santa! Yes, you read that right. Our jolly old elf traded in his classic crimson for a regal, BIG Love-branded purple ensemble, and let’s just say—it was a HO-HO-HOME RUN!

Kids squealed with delight, parents chuckled, and even the volunteers gave a knowing nod of approval. Purple Santa posed for pictures, dished out high-fives, and spread his signature ‘tis the season to be jolly’ vibes everywhere he went. We may have just started a new Christmas tradition!

Speaking of photos, we had the incredible opportunity to capture priceless moments between families, volunteers, and of course—the real stars of the show: the kids! From giggles with Santa to the sheer joy of picking the perfect gift, every snapshot was a freeze-frame of happiness.
